Ultrasonic waves are referred to mechanical energy whose frequencies are higher than human hearing ranges of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Ultrasonic waves in gas, liquid and solid media propagates in form of transverse or longitudinal wave.

This ultrasonic wave is generated by stimulating magnetic bipolar material in such a way that bipolar material changes in magnetic fields that produce ultrasonic waves. In this method in addition to the coil or magnetic field the need for ferromagnetic and 2-pole materials is also required for the production and transmitting of ultrasonic waves. This technique is mostly used in laboratory applications and its industrial samples are not available yet.
Ultrasonic descaler myth or Reality (in Iran Market):
Ultrasonic has been produced and sold in Iran for some time now. Considering the two main methods of ultrasonic waves producing mentioned above and comparing with ultrasonic descaler in Iran, it is easily undrstood that there is no technical relation between real ultrasonic waves and named ultrasonic descaler in the Iranian market. Ultrasonic descaler producing mechanical waves in the HVAC applications does not exist at all in Iran, and the old electromagnetic and electronic descaler with coils or antennas on the pipe have been renamed to Ultrasonic descaler.
